❄️ What Kind of Lapland Do You Want to Experience?
Some trips start with a destination.
Others start with a feeling.
Lapland, Finland, feels like the second kind. ❄️
Imagine arriving in the far north, where snow-covered forests stretch into the distance, the world becomes wonderfully quiet, and the only light for miles might come from a warm cabin window — or, if you're lucky, the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.
But here's something you might not know:
✨ In Finland, people often talk about eight seasons — not four.
Why?
Because in the Arctic, the landscape changes so dramatically throughout the year that each period has its own character, light, colors, and way of life.
And here's another surprise: you don't have to visit Lapland in December to see the Northern Lights.
The aurora season in Finnish Lapland generally runs from late August through early April, meaning autumn and late winter can offer incredible opportunities too.
Which got me thinking…
When someone tells me, “I want to go to Lapland,” my first question isn't:
“Which hotel do you want?”
It's:
“What kind of Lapland do you want to experience?”
🎄 A magical Christmas surrounded by snow?
🌌 Chasing the Northern Lights far from city lights?
🦌 Meeting reindeer and discovering Sámi culture?
🔥 Warming up in a traditional Finnish sauna after a day outdoors?
🌲 Or simply slowing down for a few days and experiencing a landscape that feels completely different from everyday life?
Because Lapland isn't just one experience.
And the best itinerary isn't necessarily the one with the most activities.
It's the one that feels like your trip.
If Lapland has been somewhere on your travel wish list, I've created a short intake form to learn what you're imagining — your travel style, priorities, and the kind of experience you'd love to have.
